Marmelada Caseira - Home made Marmalade

Garanto, faz toda a diferença!

In honor of Aphrodite – Love Godess – we’ve made some homemade marmalade.

So deliciois!
For this specific task i use my Thermomix, and within just 30 minutes it’s done!
The more adventurous may cook it in the traditional way, but a litttle more slowly!
Peeling  the quinces is the hardest task, my hands speak for themselves, specially my thumb and forefinger.

But … there’s nothing like a a homemmade marmalade, and you can’t imagine the amount of quince´s all over around and no one cares for it!
So … why not to venture and make some of these tipical portuguese type of jam….  It makes all the difference, you can bet!
Just a mythology note:  In Ancient Greece, the quinces were known as “golden apples” – symbol of fertility – and were offered to Aphrodite.
